    I would like to apply for the Windows System or Network Administrator position where I can use my skills and knowledge in Systems Network Administration or Network Operations.

    I have over five years of experience in network and system administration at Decision Software Inc., a developer of collaborative business management software including applications for e-commerce, supply chain integration, field service, customer relationship management, and enterprise statistical reporting and analysis. These applications have been installed in more than sixty different industries in a wide variety of operating environments. Many implementations are hosted in the local data center that I supervised.

    I have been working in a windows environment for over six years. The first year in a technical support roll and the last five plus in the aforementioned Systems Administrator roll. I have implemented and work daily with Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, SMTP & Web servers, application & development servers, workstations, web apps and firewalls. I am skilled at troubleshooting and solving problems while maintaining consistent and secure data communications in a networking environment. I excel at minimizing customer stress levels by providing frequent, clear communications; quality end user support; and practical training.

    I moved from Maryland to San Antonio last September because of an outstanding work opportunity for my wife. My employment with Decision Software ended in June allowing me time to pack up our household, go house hunting in San Antonio, and, most importantly, go back to school. For the last six months I have been pursuing the completion of my bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland University College with a major in Criminology and Criminal Justice, while also working towards a certification in Computer Networking (MCSA and MCSE).
